This song starts off with a lively clarinet solo that sets the tempo in a similiar vein to "I'm Somebody's Somebody Now".  The lyrics are not that long or complicated.   It is just one of those songs that helps her become legendary as the "musicians" singer.  In contrast to "I like what you like", where she lets Joe Venuti start with a fast paced violin solo, Annette starts off singing right from the start. But if you listen closely you can hear Joe Venuti ever present in the background on every note.  He comes on much stronger in the second chorus and continues his incredible solo near the end.  Listen closely towards the end where he starts hand plucking the violin strings.  Now that's what I call bite!  This early tune would become one of her signature tunes.  Good instrumentals and snappy little love song.  This is the best that music can become.  This was before Annette started to become famous.  It was just a bunch of musicians sitting down with Annette to play some real music.  In such a short song there is so much going on!  The layers are deep in this one!

Ain't That a Grand and Glorious Feeling!

Now is there any one present
who was ever in love
If It's so you know how
I'm feeling right now
Everything is so pleasant
sun is shining above
If you're in love, gee whiz
then you know how it is
when there's somebody who
you can cuddle up to
Ain't that a grand and glorious feeling
When you're huggin him there
In that cozy old chair
Oh boy, isn't that a grand and glorious feeling

Every little kiss
does you so much good
You're so full of bliss
you just feel like knocking wood
and when you naturally guess
that he's gonna say yes
Ain't that a grand and glorious feeling!

When you're blessed with the wealth
of good name and good health
Ain't that a grand and glorious feeling
When whatever you got
you're content with your lot
Ain't that a grand and glorious feeling

Now you just go your way
always nice and kind
learning everyday
Happiness is in your mind
And when there's nothing to fear
cause your conscience is clear
Ain't that a grand and glorious feeling

I've got something to say
when that band starts to play
I get a grand and glorious feeling
That's All!
