These cuts are from her "Patsy Young" pseudonym that she had from
Harmony records.  Its kind of her own interpretation of Helen Kane that
makes entirely her own.  Every time I hear the lyrics:

"We could be a duet dear,
If You could only sing",

I think
of Herman Rose in the background with his
glass of water waiting
for her and she coyly singing secretly to him.

We are presented with take 2 and take 3 on this CD.  Annette is
accompanied by:  Rube Bloom on piano, Charlie Butterfield (trombone),
Jimmy Dorsey (clarinet and alto sax), Tony Colucci (banjo), and Stan King on
drums.  Mercifully, for Annette Tommy Dorsey is not included here.  To hear
Annette talk about how upset Tommy would get on some cuts.  I hate
to think what he would have done on this one and "He's So Unusual".  They are
good interpretations and I must admit I like them both although
Tommy probably would have thought they were goofy.  But despite that,
they are both a lot of fun.  Enjoy!

I Think You'll Like It

Seems like we are all set dear
For you to have a time
we could do a duet dear
if you could only sing
Romeo you, and Juliet me
Sonny boy, come climb up my balcony
come up hon, I think you'll like it
Where Shakespeare ends
is where we begin
cut the words and get to where the deeds begin
come up hon, I think you'll like it
The way we girls dress they only pour more on
You act like I was a Joan of Arc
with her armour on!
A big boy like you
a cutie like me
honey here is your chance to make history
come up hon, I think you'll like it
A big boy like you
a little cutie like me
honey here is your chance to make some history
come up hon, I think you'll like it
