Newspaper Columnist Report on Annette

Included below is a short article on Annette from
October 1930.  The author is reflecting on the
presence and entrance of Annette to the CBS
studios.  He describes exactly what apprears
in the "Showboat" special when Annette sings.
You could literally hear a "pin" drop when she
began to sing.  All eyes were on Annette.  Imagine
if you will all the young men straightening up the
ties and their hair when Annette enters the room.
And true to form, just like Frank Hanshaw told me
the author references to her "age".  He says her age is
somewhere in the "teens".  Even at that time she kept
her age a strict secret.  From our current records and
her birthdate of 1901, she would have been 29 years old
when this article was written.
